The South West Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Deacon Segun Samson Olalere, on Thursday, congratulated Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the APGA candidate in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election for his victory at the poll and emergence as the governor-elect for Anambra State.

Olalere, who is also the APGA national vice chairman (South West), stated in Ibadan that the feat was a reward for the vigorous campaign embarked upon by the APGA candidate and his running mate in the state.

He stated: “It is with great pleasure that I congratulate our great party for a resounding victory recorded recently. Again, the people of Anambra have decided to stay on the path of development, truth, transparency, trust and economic growth.

“While I congratulate the Governor-Elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, on their well-deserved victory, let me also thank all Anambra voters for keeping faith with APGA.”

He also congratulated the outgoing governor of Anambra State, Governor Willie Obiano, and the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Victor Ike Oye, for their contributions to the party’s performance in the governorship election, while promising to record the same feat when APGA in Ekiti and Osun states will be going to the polls next year.

Olalere praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for standing firm and Anambra voters for performing their electoral duty.

He however appealed to security agents to fish out those who perpetrated violence during the elections and make them face the law.
