Ibadan Book Club (IBC) has set aside the December 18, 2021 to hold Ibadan Book Party. Ibadan Book Party is the end of the year party of Ibadan Book Club (IBC).
The 2021 edition of Ibadan Book Party will focus on Yoruba Literature. Literary books by three prominent Yoruba writers will be read and examined. The writers are the late D.O. Fagunwa, Akinwumi Isola and Adebayo Faleti.
A statement issued by both the Coordinator and Secretary of the club, Ayobami Odunyemi and Mary Ndukwo said the event would take place at the Oyo State Library Board, Opposite Cocoa House, Ibadan by 12PM prompt.

The writers are Late D.O. Fagunwa, Akinwumi Isola and Adebayo Faleti. The month of December is very significant in the lives of these three writers. Prof. Akinwumi Isola was born on the 24th of December 1939. D.O. Fagunwa also died on the 7th of December 1963 while Alagba Adebayo Faleti was born on the 26th of December. Books by the three writers will be made available for members and readers to read. The party will also feature readings by three up and coming Ibadan based writers, the writers are: Emmanuel Adekola, Olomide Fatiha and Ogunsola Ayooluwa Folakunmi.
Upcoming writers who have works in poetry, Short stories and novels can also attend to read their works to fellow writers and readers. Membership form will be made available Free for first timers.
