Yultide: Niger CP assures residents of adequate security

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, has assured Niger State indigenes and residents of sufficient deployment of personnel to churches, recreation centres, and other public places during the festive period.

The commissioner, in a message to felicitate with Christians in the state for the Yuletide season and commemoration of birth of Jesus Christ, stated that operation order had been issued to Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs on security measures in their respective areas for peaceful conduct during the festivities.

He admonished members of the public most especially vehicle owners /drivers to be wary of night journeys and over-speeding during travels to avoid vehicular accidents on the road.

He advised parents /guardian to prevail on their wards against any act of public disturbance as the Command would not hesitate to clamp down on any miscreant who may want to disrupt public peace, adding that the ban on use of fireworks, knockouts, bangers and other explosive devices was still in force.

“The CP wishes Christians in the state merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all Nigerlites,” according to the statement.
