The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Alhaji Kasheem Ibrahim-Imam, has described Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State as the best option for 2023 Presidency because of his development strides in the state.

The chairman of the board disclosed this in Abuja, while addressing the press on Tuesday.

Alhaji Kasheem, who cited the numerous infrastructural projects of the Umahi’s administration in Ebonyi State as a pointer to his capacity to transform Nigeria, expressed hope that Governor Umahi would replicate the feat at the national level if giving the opportunity to pilot the affairs of this country.

“I think he is credible, he is worthy, he has worked very hard in Ebonyi, he has produced results. You will need to see the road network,  you will also need to see the transformation of Abakaliki which used to be a small sleepy town.

“On the issue of Presidency, our party is blessed with several credible, worthy contenders. I hope that we will put heads together and at the appropriate time we will present the candidate that the party would present for the elections; but there is no doubt about the fact that Governor Dave Umahi is very credible. At the end of the day, it is not about oneself, it is more about  our country Nigeria”.

He therefore urged the opinion leaders to support a detribalized Nigerian like Umahi to reposition Nigeria and ensure enlasting peace across the country.
