Niger govt to begin enumeration of on properties
Niger State government will soon begin digital data collection for properties, particularly residences in six local government areas (LGAs) including Chanchaga and Bosso (Minna metropolis).
This is part of its efforts to curtail the rising insecurity in the state.
Niger State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning, Alhaji Zakari Abubakar, disclosed this at the five-day training of enumerators on the data collection on properties.
He explained that the programme was also to strengthen land administration across the state.
Zakari Abubarkar, who is Special Guest at the event, pointed out that there was the need for Niger State to have a comprehensive data on properties to provide firsthand information about property owners and possibly details of occupants.
