He told Nigeria News Flight that the office of National Welfare Secretary of APC, which the party zoned to Imo State, required a person with experience in managing human beings especially politicians, stressing that with his years of experience as a media and public affairs manager, and as a former Special Adviser Inter Party Affairs, he was qualified to make the post vibrant and successful again.

Describing APC as a world-wide brand, the industrialist and political strategist assured that if elected, he would boost the morale of party members across all levels.

His words: “I will boost the morale of party officers, staff and members, and bring professionalism in the administrative system.

“I will equally restore confidence among party faithful and work to promote internal and external goodwill for APC”.

Besides, Alan B described President Muhammadu Bihari as a father-figure of the party who has instilled discipline, party cohesion and oneness in APC, stressing that he would leverage on the president’s sterling achievements to bring a different perspective to the routine running of the office of National Welfare Secretary.

“Luckily, we have in President Bihari, a man of discipline, candour, resilience and pragmatic leader. A man who insists that things must be done orderly. He has virtually destroyed impunity in the party. If elected as National Welfare Secretary of APC, I will leverage on Mr President’s achievements, both as the leader of the party, as well as Commander in Chief, to bring about a radical reformation in the welfare of members for the overall good of the party”.

Alan B Onyemaechi called on party faithful to see a bigger picture of APC as a party that would take the nation to socio-economic and political eldorado, adding that the party has men and women of integrity that could make Nigeria prosperous.

He said that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the March 26 National Convention of the party was successful as it would usher in a new vision, direction, and new ways of doing things in APC.

“The leadership of the party, and by extension, all members, have a task to make sure that the National Convention is successful. The President has shown the determination to bring all Waring factions together.

“We must exhibit such patriotism and help him to make sure that the National Convention is a huge success,” he said.
