Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has assured the Minister of  Transportation and an All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Mr. Chibuike Rotomi Amaechi, that the ruling party was united in the South-East Nigeria.

He also disclosed that there was a new spirit in the zone, which would make winning an election in 2023 easy for APC.

Governor Uzodimma gave the assurance to the minister and his entourage at the Imo State APC Secretariat on Okigwe Road, Owerri, on Tuesday.

Governor Uzodimma said that the message to Nigerians from the South East APC was “we want to win because we are already doing well and we will win because we cannot afford not to win.”

The governor also said that South East would continue to show Nigerians that they were united.

He told Amaechi that the APC in the South East love him as a brother contesting the presidential election even though there were other aspirants from the zone.

He wished Amaechi well and prayed God to give him the courage to know how to go about winnings, stressing that the South-East was determined to go into the presidential election to win.

Addressing the APC delegates, Amaechi said that he was in the South-East with his entourage to seek for the members’ support to his aspiration to become the president of Nigeria, noting that once he was given the opportunity, he will “honestly use it for the good of all Nigerians.”
