2023: I will restore Nigeria’s lost glory, says Akwa Ibom governor

Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has promised to transform Nigeria into an exporter of agricultural goods and services from its present state and restore its lost glory among community of nations.

Governor Udom made the promise during an interaction with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates from Niger State ahead of the party’s national conference and 2023 general election.

He assured that he would initiate an economic policy that would be dependent on agriculture if elected Nigeria’s president.

The governor also pointed out that the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) substation in Akwa Ibom State remained one of the best in Nigeria, and has helped the state in the establishment of industries for the preservation of agricultural produce for local consumption and for export.

He promised to replicate itat the federal level if elected president next year.

Part of the transformation legacies worth mention in Akwa Ibom State, according to Governor Udom Emmanuel is the establishment of Ibom Air, the first and only state in Nigeria and promised to ensure that Nigeria Airways was restored.
