Super Eagles make history, crush Sao Tome 10-0 in AFCON qualifier

Nigerian Super Eagles on Monday June 13, 2022 made history by defeating the Sao Tome national football team 10-0 in AFCON qualifying match played in Morocco.

The goal margin was the highest the Nigerian national football team ever recorded in the recent time.

Victor Osimhen opened the floodgate of goals in the ninth and scored three more later in the second half.

Moses Simon, who made the assist in Osimhen’s first goal, scored the Eagles second goal, while T. Murphy made it three goals at the end of first half.

Ademola Lukman had his debute goal for Nigeria in the second half, while Oghenekaro Etebo scored with a powerful free-kick, and Emmanuel Denis scored the last minute penalty.

Murphy scored twice, while Osimhen scored four times.
