The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) flagbearer in Delta State, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has appealed to his teeming supporters not to lose sleep over litigations that trailed his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate in the state.

Oborevwori gave the assurance at his Osubi, Warri country home at the weekend.

While expressing optimism on the cases, the PDP flagbearer pointed out that “Every success attracts envy and jealousy from different quarters and small minded individuals.

“Majority of those instituting the court cases are not even members of PDP. They lack the locus standi to do so, as the amended electoral Act doesn’t give them such privilege.”

He however described litigation as an unruly horse; hence, those instituting cases against him could not be sure of having the last laugh over the issues at stake, while claiming innocent of the allegations.

“I enjoined my teeming supporters and party faithful not to lose sleep at all over the various court cases challenging my eligibility to contest the 2023 general election as they will all end in fiasco,” he assured.

It would be recalled that some PDP faithful approached the Delta State High Court sitting in Bomadi and Patani to challenge the legibility of Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to contest for the position of Delta State governorship position.

Meanwhile, the judge has ruled that the case would receive an accelerated hearing in view of the importance of the case.
