Buhari should tell U.S., others location of pipelines IPOB vandalised

The non-violent pro-Biafaran group, the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has denied involvement in oil pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria.

The Mazi Nnamdi Kanu-led Biafran agitators made the denial, while reacting to the President Muhammadu Buhari’s allegation that the group and its supporters were vandalizing oil facilities in Nigeria.

IPOB, in a statement issued by its media aide, Comrade Emma Powerful, on Wednesday, alleged that the Nigerian leader knew that his Fulani tribesmen were the main suspects.

It stated: “IPOB since formation and inauguration about 12 years ago has never been involved with pipeline vandalism. Buhari’s hypocrisy will soon catch up with him.

“Buhari, you allowed your people to continue terrorising, massacring Nigerians; you will pay for it one day.

“World leaders and countries should stop paying attention to Buhari and his Fulani terror government because they are living on a borrowed time. Inviting Buhari to a security meeting in Rwanda is like asking the hyena to participate in a discussion on the wellbeing of the antelope. Buhari’s government has failed woefully in securing the lives and properties of Nigerians. Therefore, his government has nothing to offer on security matters and discussions.”

While saying that the Buhari allegation was laughable, IPOB wondered what went wrong with the nation’s security intelligence information gathering.

“Why should he choose to further advertise his ignorance and the failure of his government in credible intelligence gathering by making such laughable, wide and untenable allegation?

“Muhammadu Buhari should tell U.S. and other Western countries the locations of the pipelines that IPOB vandalised. The allegation against IPOB by Buhari is childish because everybody knows that IPOB does not engage in pipeline vandalism in Nigeria. Even the international community knows that IPOB does not involve in such act,” it stated.

IPOB also reminded Buhari that a forthnight ago, that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) boss threatened to name the high profile Nigerians behind oil theft.

“Did the NSCDC boss need to issue such a threat assuming IPOB is a “terror organization?” Incidentaly, Buhari’s people are actually the ones behind the crime in Nigeria.

IPOB also assured that it would flush out the Fulani terrorists masquerading as herdsmen in Biafran bushes and forests.

“Whatever allegations they like let them fabricate. We can’t abdicate our divine mandate of defending our ancestral land against the Fulani terrorists”, IPOB stated.
