 Ebonyi PDP guber candidate calls for PVC registration

The governorship candidate of  the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, Dr. IfeanyiChukwuma Odii, has called on the electorate across the state to register on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to avoid being marginalised in the forthcoming 2023  general elections.

Odii made the apeal in Abakaliki during the inauguration of his campaign office.

The guber candidate said that voter card was very relevant in every election since it was the only power and right the electorate has to determine who will occupy all the elective positions during the general elections.

He therefore urged members of the party to eschew their differences and work with unity and peace to enable them win the next election.

“I thank the three-man delegates for choosing me duriing the primaries. I urge all aggrieved members of our party to embrace peace to win at all levels in the general elections.

“Politcs of not united will only slow us down over the strategies to win during the election, but we shall overcome them. Let us come together in soladality with a common purpose.

“The goal is to create wealth for the people, which I have been doing. We can transform Ebonyi together and we can do it come 2023.

“I am committed to diversity the state economy and improvement human empowerment for the people if elected as governor.

“To the electorates, go and get your PVC amd on the day of elelction, you go out and cast your vote and I believe your vote will surely count.

Also, his running mate, Sen. Polinus  Igwe Nwagu, stated that the only way out of unemployment, poverty and insecurity is to ensure that everybody participated in PVC registration, saying that “our vote must count since the era of rigging is gradually fading away.”

“In 2023, our vote must surely count. The era of rigging is over when comparing what happened in Ekiti state election. We will win and we are not going to be intimidated by any group or party.

“My joint ticket with the Odii is well planned and we shall strengthen true governance to Ebonyi people come 2023,” he said.
