Etsu Nupe seeks prayers for Niger’s new governor, Bago, others

‘…the newly elected and appointed leaders needed the prayers of Muslims and Christians to discharge their duties actively and effectively’

The Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of traditional rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has called on Nigerians, Nigerlites in particular, to pray for Governor Umar Bago and other elected and appointed Nigerian leaders to succeed.

The monarch also pleaded with Bago to consider for appointments people who are not just competent but experienced and having the willingness to serve Nigerlites above regional, religious and political inclinations in constituting cabinet members and personal aides.

 The Etsu Nupe, who spoke at his Wadata Palace, Bida on Wednesday, said that the newly elected and appointed leaders needed the prayers of Muslims and Christians to discharge their duties actively and effectively.
