‘The nominees had been directed to appear before the lawmakers on Wednesday June 14, 2023, for screening’

Ebonyi State House of Assembly will on Wednesday June 14, 2023, begin screening of the 35 persons nominated by the state Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as commissioners.
The newly elected speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon Moses Ije Odunwa, disclosed this on Tuesday during the first inaugural session of the Assembly, while acknowledging the receipt of the list from the governor.
He also confirmed that the nominees had been directed to appear before the lawmakers on Wednesday June 14, 2023, for screening.

The speaker said tthat his immediate response followed a letter written to the lawmakers by the state chief executive, requesting for the screening and possibly confirmation.
