‘Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, the Anambra State Police boss, must not send his men to murder innocent citizens because of his ethnic hatred against Ndigbo’

The Mazi Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, of killing innocent IPOB members and Igbo citizens in the guise of fighting enforcers of sit-at-home order in Igbo land.
IPOB, which had disassociated itself from the sit-at-home order in the South-East, alleged that Adeoye was aware that Simon Ekpa was behind the order, yet the commissioner was eliminating non-violent IPOB members.
IPOB, via its media aide, Comrade Emma Powerful, at the weekend, stated: “We wonder why Nigerian government and its security agencies keep attributing the reckless sit-at-home orders to IPOB.

“This shows that the Nigeria government has a preconceived agenda with the promoters of the sit-at-homes to frame IPOB.
“Again, we have said that IPOB and ESN are not responsible for the infamous sit-at-home orders. Those enforcing sit-at-home are neither IPOB members nor ESN operatives. IPOB is not against security forces going after criminals enforcing reckless sit-at-home orders. But Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, the Anambra State Police boss, must not send his men to murder innocent citizens because of his ethnic hatred against Ndigbo.”
IPOB alleged that the Nigeria Police knew the camps of the criminals, stressing that their leaders’ identification was in the public domain.
IPOB also assured that it would not succumb to threats, reminding the government and the police that they had been victims of oppressive Nigeria Security Agencies for years, stressing, “If their numerous illegal abductions, extrajudicial killings, forcefully disappearances, and extraordinary rendition of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, have not stopped us or quenched our resolve for the restoration of the Independent State of Biafra, what other threat can deter us?”
“Mr Aderemi Adeoye, don’t allow your ethnic hatred to cloud your professional ethics and right judgment because that will make you and your office miserable in the short run.
“Your speeches are full of hatred, and you will be held accountable for any genocide against Biafrans,” IPOB stated.
