‘I defected due to irreconcilable differences in the YPP’
The senator representing Anambra South District in the National Assembly, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), while dumping the Young Progressives Party (YPP), which gave him the platform in 2019 and 2023.
He said that his defection was due to irreconcilable differences in the YPP.

The Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced Ubah’s defection during a plenary session on Thursday.
Ubah, who did not explain the irreconcilable differences, according to Channelstv, further stated that the decision was to serve his constituents better.
Ubah was the sole member of the YPP in the 10th Senate before his defection to the APC.
