The much-talked about Oriental Derby between Rangers International of Enugu and Emyimba FC of Aba ended controvtially at the Cathedral in Enugu on Sunday June 9, 2024.
The Week 35 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match, which would have been the league decider, was disrupted in the dying minutes, when fans trooped into the field following a disputed penalty awared to Rangers in the 92nd minute.

Before the derby on Sunday, Rangers were topping the league with 60 points, while Enyimba trailed by two points.
Meanwhile,, the league body has yet to make comments about the match and the next steps.
