A pro-democracy group, Sahelian Youth Forum for Good Governance and Advocacy (SYFGGA), has appealed to the National Assembly (NASS) to be proactive in resolving the crisis rocking Rivers State House of Assembly.
It also commended the Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his commitment to the development of the state.
Mr Aminu Harsanu Guyaba, the national president of SYFGGA gave the commendation at a news conference to celebrate Fubara’s first year in office on Saturday in Bauchi.
Guyaba assured Fubara of the group’s support on his efforts to deliver democracy dividends to Rivers residents.

His words: “It is imperative that any element or group seeking to interfere with the governor’s work be curtailed, allowing him to govern without undue hindrance.
“The people of Rivers State deserve a government that is focused on their needs and aspirations, free from political turmoil.
“We encourage him to keep up the excellent work, knowing that he has the backing of both the people of Rivers State and supporters from across the nation.” valoa2000
