Krejci: Imo State would tap from Czech Republic’s expertise in agriculture and manufacturing to create a sustainable value chain that would result into massive job creation and employment of the people

Imo State government is set to boost the state economy, as it parleys with the government of Czech Republic on agriculture and other natural resources.

This is coming on the heels of the meeting between Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Ambassador of Czech Republic in Nigeria, Mr. Zdenek Krejci, in Owerri on Wednesday July 10, 2024.

Nigeria News Flight gathered that Governor Uzodimma was optimistic that the result of the meeting would be beneficial to the people of Imo State.

Uzodimma’s meeting with the Czech envoy was confirmed by his Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku, in a statement he issued for the governor on Wednesday.

Uzodimma also disclosed that the envoy indicated interest in the education sector of the state, especially in the development of Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, with emphasis on skill development.

The governor said that their discussion also bothered on the efforts his government had made on food, livestock development, natural and solid minerals exploitation.

He said that power generation, industrialization, Orashi dredging, job creation, among other areas of wealth creation for the people featured in their discussion.

The Czech Republic Ambassador, Krejci, according to the statement, assured Governor Uzodimma that Imo State would tap from Czech Republic’s expertise in agriculture and manufacturing to create a sustainable value chain that would result into massive job creation and employment of the people.

Mr. Krejci attended the meeting with the Czech Republic honourary Counsellor, Dr. Mrs. Derek Awosika.
