Shehu Sani: At our end [North], this violent protest without visible leadership must be discontinued

A human rights activist and former senator representing Kadunal Central in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has called for an end to the ongoing national protest against hunger and bad governance in Nigeria, which entered the second day on Friday August 2, 2024.
Sani, who made the appeal on his X handle, @ShehuSani, lamented the level of destruction the protest caused to the Northern Nigeria in its first day on Thursday August 1, 2024.
Sani said that many people died and properties worth billions of naira were consumed by the protest on Thursday.

His words: “With scores dead, hundreds injured and properties worth billions of Naira belonging to private businesses and government destroyed by hoodlums, mostly in Northern states, those wishing to encourage the continuation of this protest, especially in the North should reconsider it.
“At our end, this violent protest without visible leadership must be discontinued.”

“Why did the Northerners refuse to protest against Yar’Adua and Buhari and they protested against GEJ and BAT?
