The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management in Niger State has decamped fresh graduates deployed to the state.
The Corps members were part of the Batch B but were changed to Batch C had reported at the Paiko Orientation camp near Minna over the weekend with the hope of continuing with the documentation process.
No official explanations were advanced for their decampment as at September 3, 2024.
Efforts to get clarifications from the management proved were frustrated.
When contacted on phone, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Abdulwahab, offered no explanation.
She simply replied, “I am not interested in what you are talking about”.

The attitude of the management also shocked the Corps members.
They told Nigeria News Flight that they were woken up as early as 5am and told to “leave the camp and go home.”
Some of the Corps members who had showed their call up letters as evidence of their bing invited to the camp could not hide their frustration haven spent hard earned resources and now told to go back home without any cogent reason.
One of the members who said that she traveled from Edo State, spending over N40, 000 (forty thousand Naira) on transportation, lamented that she had no money to travel back to Edo state and therefore pleaded with the federal and state government to come to their aid.
Meanwhile, the decamped Corps members are stranded with their luggages thrown out of the camp and scattered on the field.
