Sowore lambasts students for honouring Nigerian corrupt leaders

Sowore: While students from other countries are champion Nigerian causes, Nigerian students are conferring awards upon those who have harmed their interests

Human rights activist and leader of African Action Congress (AAC), Mr. Omoyele Sowore, has lambasted Nigerian students for their lack of interest in the governance of the country.

Sowore, a critic of Nigeria’s corrupt and poor leadership, condemned the attitude of the Nigeria students on his x handle, @YeleSowore, on Monday October 7, 2024, while reacting to the ongoing protest against President Bola Tinubu-administration abroad.

His words: “While students from other countries are champion Nigerian causes, Nigerian students are conferring awards upon those who have harmed their interests.”

Sowore also castigated Nigerian leaders’ penchance for traveling abroad for frevalous spending of public funds.

He said, “The useless leaders that ruined their country are happy to announce their departure and arrivals from the countries built by their own people.”
