Onyemaechi, who spoke to the Nigeria News Flight in Owerri, wondered why the appointment six months after he left the party, stressing that he only heard about it in the media.

His words: “My attention has been drawn to a widely publicised appointment of my person as SA, Imo Health Insurance Agency from the APC government of Imo State. I wish to state that I am unable to accept such a distraction as I have since joined Labour Party (LP), where I now have my total loyalty.”

Besides, he appealed to Imo citizens to vote for all the Labour Party candidates in the forthcoming House of Assembly election in the state.
