Breaking: Thugs attack non-Yoruba with arms in Jakande Estate Isolo, stab one over guber polls

 

 

Armed young men suspected to be political thugs from the All Progressives Congress (APC) invaded strategic areas of Jakande Estate Isolo, Lagos as early as 7:00am on Saturday, attacking non-Yoruba home with canes, daggers and other dangerous weapons to prevent them from casting their votes.

 

They said thet they were carrying out orders from their “leaders” to prevent non-Yoruba from voting in the March 18, 2023 governorship and state assembly election in the state.

The hoodlums, who stabbed one man at the Opeyemi area of the Jakande Estate, Isolo, sources said, were brought by a popular APC chieftain in the area to avoid losing the area to the Labour Party (LP) again.

 

When the police in the estate were contacted, one who spoke ananynously, said that they were instructed to remain in their office.

 

Nigeria News Flight monitoring the election in the area, however, saw some Red Cross officials in their van inside Opeyemi area attending to the man, who was stabbed by the hoodlums for going out to cast his vote.

 

Recall that Omo Olu, the head of touts in Lagos, had warned non-Yoruba to remain indoors on Saturday governorship and state assembly election to avoid bloodbath.
