This is not the best of time for a young woman, Chinasa Nwibeh, who has been found guilty of defrauding her boyfriend at Enugu Magistrate Court.
Chinasa Nwibeh defrauded her boyfriend, Emeka Nwankwo, of N3,000 in the guise of using it to visit him.
After finding her guilty of the offense, the court ordered her to pay Nwankwo the sum of N100,000 with an additional interest of N50,000 for emotional damages and breach of contract.
Nwankwo had said that she switched off her phone after collecting the transport money, which forced him to report the case to the Police station.

Nwankwo brought evidence of the mobile money transfer made to her and all the WhatsApp messages they shared to the court.
As at press time it is not clear whether Chinasa Nwibeh will appeal the court judgement or not.
