The much awaited internship programme for graduate nurses at David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu, has received the nod of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The approval was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar and CEO of the Council, Frank Umar Abubakar, and dated September 1, 2023.
Also forwarded were guidelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programme and checklist for the supervision of nurse interns.

The Council, in the circular, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Chief Medical Director, Professor Dr Uzoma Agwu, and her management team for the support and cooperation in maintaining standards in Nursing Education and practice in Nigeria.
