The Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the July 20, 2024 Council election in Ebonyi State, Mr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo, has promised to redouble his administration’s efforts at bequeathing peace, legacy projects and good policies to the people of the Council in his second term if elected.
Nwankwo gave the assurance at the wrap up of the party’s state constituency and ward rallies held at Central Primary School, Agubia, and at the Council Headquarters Onuebonyi Echara on Wednesday July 17, 2024.
Nwankwo also thanked the people of Ikwo for their show of love and solidarity to his administration and to the Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru -led administration in the state.
He commened the governor for acknowledging his efforts and for endorsing his second term in office through executive pronouncement, which was re-echoed by stakeholders and people of Ikwo Noyo clan.

Besides, the chairman promised not to disappoint the Governor and the people of Ikwo Noyo clan, assuring them that he would consolidate on the successes recorded in his first term, and to step down to the grassroots, the people’s charter of needs mantra of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru administration.
In their remarks, the Chairman of APC Campaign Council in Ikwo LGA, Chief Okeagu Ogada, the Campaign Director General, Hon. James Alaka, wife of the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah, a stakeholder, Chief Joseph Orogwu and a woman leader, Mrs. Ngozi Igwe, and others, assured the Chairman that Ikwo people will reciprocate his inclusive and people-oriented leadership through massive votes that would impress him and the state governor.
They called on electorates, especially women to mobilize their family members to go out on Election Day and vote the Chairman and all Councillorship candidates of APC. valoa2000@yahoo.com
