Herdsmen raid Ebonyi community, kill two, abduct one

No fewer than two persons have been killed, while one was abducted in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Nigeria New Flight gathered that one of the victims of the Sunday’s attack at  Ishiagu Community in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State was the father of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth leader.

Narrating his ordeal, the National Youth leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Damian Okafor,  stated that the suspected herdsmen lunched the attack on Sunday which claimed two lives including his father.

His words: “Suspected herdsmen attacked Ishiagu community again, killed my father, one other person and abducted one.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP  Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.

He said that the attack, which claimed two lives, was carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

“Two persons were reportedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

“One was shot in the head through his windscreen and the other murdered in his farm with his throat cut,” he said.
