Ebonyi State government has lunched Salt City Skills Programme designed specially to train over 10,000 youths to aquire knowledge-driven engagements on digital skills that will enable them compete favourably with their counterparts globally.
This programme is being championed by the state Ministry of Information Communication and Technology in collaboration with the GFA Technology, Lagos for Ebonyi Youths and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at one of the ministry’s facilities, NITDA Centre, Silicon valley, Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
In his address, the state Commissioner for Information Communication and Technology, Comrade Uzoh Tochukwu Okorie, said that the present administration in Ebonyi State under Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru was poised to reposition the state, especially the youths on knowledge-driven engagements to enable them compete favourably with their counterparts globally, and is leaving no stone unturned to making the vision a reality.

Uzoh noted that the Salt City Skills Programme was part of GFA Technology’s mission to up-skill and provide digital skills to 10 million Nigerian youths by 2030 and position Nigeria as a digital workforce to the world.
He added that in Ebonyi State, the programme will train 10 thousand youths and SMEs at no cost.
He therefore urged every young person in the state to identify with the skill acquisition programme to become professionally relevant in the annals of time.
