I’II prioritise education, agric in Taraba, says Kefas, PDP guber candidate



‘If I am elected as the new governor of Taraba State on March 18, 2023, I will ensure peaceful coexistence among Tarabans’

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (rtd), has assured that he would prioritise education and agriculture in his list of development agenda if elected as governor in the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.


He said that the provision of high standard education was the fastest means of developing a state.


Kefas made the promise, while addressing PDP members in his county home, Wukari, the headquarter of the five councils in the  southern zone of the state – Ibi, Takum, Wukari, Donga Ussa and Yentu special development area –  at the weekend.

He promised that if elected, his administration would also boost  agriculture, provide portable water, empower youths and women empowerment, ensure payment of pension and gratuity.


His words: “If I am elected as the new governor of Taraba State on March 18, 2023, I will ensure peaceful coexistence among Tarabans. We shall rule the state with fear of God because we are going to govern the state in a transparent way and we shall be fair, just and provide equal opportunity to all and sundry.”


On security, Kefas disclosed that he would bring to bear his wealth of experience in the military.


“I will collaborate with local people in the community to ensure that Tarabans coexistence peaceful. We shall engage them through dialogs, sensitisation and constant town hall meetings.”


The govership candidate urged the people to pray, support and vote for him on March 18, 2023 election to enable him actualise his dream for the state.

Besides, Alhaji Inuwa Bakari, the state PDP chairman, had urged Tarabans to vote for Kefas, describing him as the most qualified and  competent  among the guber candidates in the governorship general election.
