Labour Party (LP) chieftain and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) former governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, has assured the Imo State citizens that LP would win the November governorship election in the state.

He said that it would happen if the election was free and fair, while appealing to Imo citizens to rally behind the LP candidate, Mr. Athan Achonu, whom he said, would give them quality leadership.

Ozigbo, who spoke at TheNiche’s annual lecture in Lagos on Thursday, pointed out that without good leadership Nigeria would not make progress.

The former president and chief executive officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc also said that Nigeria would only progress when quality and non-tribalised Nigerians like Peter Obi of the LP start taking positions of national leadership of Nigeria.

He however lamented the current situation in the country where mediocrity wss being worshiped to the detriment of the people’s future.

Besides, Ozigbo was optimistic that soon capable leadership would still emerge in Nigeria despite obstacles.
