Manchester United has grabbed its first three points in the 2025/26 Premier League by beating Burnley 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday August 30, 2025.
The highly thrilling match was dorminated by the Red Devils, who had 20 shots at goal and scored only one in the first 45 minutes.
The opener in the 27th minute was Casimiro’s shot, which J. Cullen of Burnley deflated inside their own post.
Earlier in the first half, Manchester United was denied a penalty, when Mason Mount was felled inside the 18 yard box by Kyle Walker, but was denied after VAR review.
The trajectory changed after the first half, as Burnley came all out to push Manchester United back, resulting in the L. Foster’s equalizer in the 55th minute.

The jubilation did not last long, as Mbuoma put Man U ahead again in the 57th minute, while J. Anthony equalized in the 66th minute.
Manchester United winner came in the 90+ 7, when Captain Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty after Amad was fouled inside 18 yard box.
The result marked Manchester United first victory in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Arsenal defeated it in the first match 0-1 at Old Trafford, while the Red Devils play 1-1 draw with Fulham in the second game.
Their first victory came on Saturday when they beat Burnley 3-2.
