‘These bright young minds are on a remarkable journey, supported by the N400 million guarantee from our VCO Foundation, to become future tech giants of our continent’
By Valentine Ozigbo
I’m thrilled to share an extraordinary experience I had recently. I visited the Decagon Institute and met with the first group of 48 exceptional Anambra scholars, the first cohort of the 100 scholars drawn from the three Senatorial zones of my home state.
These bright young minds are on a remarkable journey, supported by the N400 million guarantee from our VCO Foundation, to become future tech giants of our continent.
I have shared a video that captures the essence of our interaction. It was a meeting filled with hope, ambition, and a united vision for a brighter, tech-driven future for Anambra, Nigeria, and indeed, Africa.

At VCO Foundation, we’re not just providing financial support but shaping future leaders poised to lead Africa’s technological revolution. Each scholar embodies the promise of innovation, leadership, and transformative change. Beyond their scholarship, I firmly believe these scholars – who hail from Onitsha to Ayamelum, Awka to Idemili, Aguata to Nnewi – are the pioneers of our continent’s future.
Let’s celebrate these young innovators as they embark on this transformative journey. Their success stories are not just their own but a source of collective pride and a driving force behind Africa’s tech renaissance.
