The Technical Adviser Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, Niger State, Mohammed Majin, has apologized to supporters over the team’s disappointing outings since returning to Minna.
The football club was playing all home and away matches outside Niger State due to poor state of the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna.
Since returning to base few months ago, Niger Tornadoes had maintained dissapointing outings in all three home matches so far.
The club has not won any of the home matches since its return – the first with Nasarawa United at the Bako Kontagora stadium ended in goalless draw.
Visiting Bendel Insurance and Lobi Stars also ended their separate encounters with more dissapointing 1-1 draws.
Speaking to the media after last Sunday’s encounter with Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Mohammed Majin lamented their poor outings.
Majin, who expressed satisfaction with the officiating of the matches, however, said that he felt sad that Tornadoes has opportunities to win matches but could not convert their chances to goals.
He appealed to fans not to feel disappointed, promising to restrategize and ensure that the next match would be rewarding.

The Technical Adviser however said, “A point is better than none like I’ve always said. Because Lobi Stars are at the bottom side of the table does not mean they are not a good side. They are parading experienced players.
“We played very well especially in the first half, we had our chances but we couldn’t convert them. At this point I am short of words about that, because we had training sessions on goal scoring but translating into practicals has always been the problem, but we will continue to work until we get it right, especially in home matches”.
