Dr Chima Igwe
The former Acting Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, (FIIRO), Oshodi, Dr. Chima Igwe, has emerged as the Nigeria News Flight Weekend Personality for June 3, 2023.
Igwe, who won the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) award for Immense Contribution to Manufacturing through Research and Development (R&D) last year, was also chosen by the management of the Lagos-based Nigeria News Flight (nigerianewsflight.com.ng) for his contribution to human development.

Igwe was made the acting DG of FIIRO by the former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, in 2019.
He believes in diversification of Nigeria’s economy.
