Nigeria’s Ambassador to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ambassador Adamu Mohammed Abdulhamid, has been elected as the chairperson of the WTO Trade Policy Review Body for the 2024/2025 period.
Abdulhamid took over at the WTO, Geneva, Switzerland, on April 24, 2024.
Before the appointment, the Ambassador was the WTO Trade Facilitation Committee Chairperson for 2022/2023 period.

In 2023, Abdulhamid served as the Chairperson for the WTO Council for Trade in Goods under which he supervised 14 subsidiary bodies for the 2023/2024.
