‘The command received information that a 17-year-old secondary student, Umar Usman, in Misau, was found wrapped in a cloth and dumped at Misau bypass’

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Command Bauchi, has arrested a 500 level student of Veterinary Medicine of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria,, for allegedly stabbing a 17-year secondary student to death.
The Corps commandant, Ilelaboye Oyejide, disclosed this in Bauchi on Sunday.
He said that the suspect had been arrested in Misau Local Government Area of the state.
Oyejide narrated that the command received information that a 17-year-old secondary student, Umar Usman, in Misau, was found wrapped in a cloth and dumped at Misau bypass.

“This is a case of culpable homicide. On the 20th October 2023 a lifeless body of Umar Usman was found wrapped in a white cloth and dumped in Misau bypass.
“He was quickly taken to General Hospital Misau where he was certified dead and handed over to the family for burial,” Oyejide said.
He said that the suspect, Abdullahi Ibrahim, a 500 level student of Veterinary Medicine ABU Zaria, was nabbed after a series of investigations by the operatives.
“We came to realise that there was a chart communication between the suspect, Ibrahim, and the deceased, Usman.
“In the communication, we saw where the suspect entices the deceased with homosexual love where he shows him his naked picture.
“When the deceased went to meet him somehow he was stabbed in the stomach and wrapped in white cloth and dumped where he was found,” he said.
The Commandant further disclosed that the suspect confessed to the crime and would be charge to court soon.
According to the commandant that the suspect, Ibrahim, explained that the deceased died after a stab with knife whwn both were fighting.
“I was really afraid because it was something I have never encountered in my life. That is why I wrapped the dead body in a cloth and dumped it along the bypass side,” the suspect said.
