Nupe monarch preaches love beyond Ramadan, counsels Muslims

The Nupe monarch otherwise called Etsu Nupe and the Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has called on Moslems to extend love to others including adherents of other religions.

He also advised them to endodge in selfless service to humanity beyond the holy month of Ramadan.

The monarch specifically advised wealth Moslems to engage in charity and philanthropic work to others especially the needy as a way of showing gratitude to Allah for making them rich and in total submission to God’s commandments.

The Etsu Nupe made the call at the closing of Ramadan Tafsir which took place at the Maasaba Jumma’at Mosque in Bida, Bida Local Government Area on Tuesday, reminding adherents of the Islamic faith on the need to eschew selflessness in whatever they do. valoa2000@yahoo.com
