The Labour Party (LP) chieftain and former governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, has appealed to orchestrators of the bloodshedding in the state to stop it.

Ozigbo, who said that the killings were alien to Ndi-Anambra, made the appeal during his visit to the family of Mr Eloka Ubajekwe, the slain Commander of Nnewi Vigilante.

Expressing his feelings on his X handle, @valentineozigbo, the LP chieftain advised the government to keep the youths engaged by creatuig jobs for them to avoid the killings in the state.

Ozigbo lamented that though the government was making things difficult for the average Nigerian, “taking the life of another is not the way to go.”

He also described the late Ubajekwe as a gallant security officer, who made sacrifices to protect his community.

“Visiting his wife, Madam Ngozi Eloka Ubajekwe, today was heart-wrenching.

“This incident was part of a recent chain of unfortunate events in Nnewi, Nnobi, Oraifite, and Ogbaru.

“Insecurity has indeed gotten in Anambra,” he said.
