The police have confirmed that Methodist Church former pastor would soon be arraigned to court over charges of sexual assault and indecent assault.
Devon and Cornwall Police said Steven Wild, who was chair of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Methodist Circuit from 2002 until 2022, will appear at Truro Magistrates Court on September 15, 2025.

Wild, 70, was summoned to on seven counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault.
Police also urged the public not to comment the case on social media.
“We would urge people not to speculate on this case, especially on social media, and risk prejudicing proceedings,” the police stated.
