PDP: This is a government that appears utterly clueless about the struggles of its people
By Mohammed Usman
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the increase in petrol pump price in Nigeria, describing it as a sign of cluelessness of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) federal government.
The Niger State PDP Vice Chairman and Zonal Chairman Zone ‘C’, Abdullahi Yahaya Ability,
who made the condemnation, wondered why the government hiked the petrol price, when Nigerians could barely afford a meal per day.
Yahaya also lamented that instead of offering solutions to the poverty and economic instability, the APC governmentit continued to deepen the financial burden on Nigerians with anti-people policies that disconnected from daily realities.
The PDP chieftain, who spoke in Minna further lamented: “The current state of affairs is not just heartbreaking reminder of the hardship millions of Nigerins are enduring; but for evidence of a government that is for the few in the corridors of power being piloted by Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“How can the APC government justify increasing fuel pump price at a time when average Nigerians can barely afford basic meal daily?
“This is a government that appears utterly clueless about the struggles of its people.”

The recent fuel price hike, according to the PDP chieftain, was just another blow, pushing already struggling families further into despair and hopelessness.
“The APC has had years to prove its leadership worth to earn the admiration and trust of Nigerians within and in the diaspora.
“But we see no empathy, no care, and no vision for the future. The increasing cost of living, lack of job opportunities, and insecurity have become the hallmarks of their governance”.
