The federal government has commenced the overall survey of Ebonyi-Benue road, heralding its total reconstruction.
Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial district and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Public Accounts, Sen. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, disclosed this in Abakaliki on August 29, 2023.
Recall that the federal lawmaker had during the plenary on matter of urgent importance drew the attention of the 10th Senate to the deplorable and impassable nature of the road linking Ebonyi and Benue states.

In a statement issued by his SA on media, Mr Romanus Uzor, the senator confirmed that the survey of the inter-state was in progress and being supervised by the ‘concerned’ ministry.
“…as I speak with you, a team from the Federal Ministry of Works is already in Ebonyi State. The team has commenced the measurements and survey of Ebonyi-Benue link road. I want to assure you that immediately after this process, the actual project will start,” the senator said.
