‘President Tinbunu must do something to stop the hardship in the country’

A non-governmental organization, the Southern Nigerian People’s Mandate (SNPM), has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to stop the current economic hardship in the country.
The group lamented that cost of living became worse since Tinubu’s emergence as Nigeria’s president on May 29, 2023.
SNPM, in a statement issued by its President, Mr. Augustine Chukwudum, faulted Tinubu’s removal of oil subsidy, stressing that it was the genesis of the economic hardship in the country today.

The group stated: “President Tinbunu must do something to stop the hardship in the country. Since he became president last year things are getting worse.
“Everybody knows that our rulers both past and present are not sincere. They promise better life during campaign. When they get to the top they turn wolf. Today prices of food and other things have skyrocketed.”
