The Mazi Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has exonerated itself and the ESN from the murder of Eze Ignatius Asor, the traditional ruler of Obudi Agwa in Oguta council of Imo State.
But, it accused the state government of pepertrating the dastardly act.
In a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB also acussed the Imo State government of recruiting notorious armed militias including Niger Delta militants to murder and destroy the properties of innocent civilians who don’t support its agenda.

“It is unfortunate that Nigeria media do not do independent investigation before publishing their report. We are aware that Governor Hope Uzodimma regularly hosts some willing editors for dinner to lounder and promote his agenda in the state. Hope Uzodinma should tell the world the crime of the monarch that warranted his murder,” IPOB stated.
It also disclosed that the Asor of Obudi Agwa of Oguta had no problem with IPOB and ESN, stressing, “IPOB and ESN don’t kill our own.”
While commiserating with the families of the slain monarch and others murdered at Obudi Agwa in Oguta LGA, IPOB urged the Command spokesman of Police in Imo State, CSP Micheal Abattam, to stop the public deception and properly investigate and identify the killers of the royal father instead of acussing the IPOB.
“We are urging all traditional rulers, religious leaders in Biafra land to understand that there is danger; and all should beef up personal securities.
“There is danger ahead because our enemies are relentlessly extorting and waging war against our leaders,” IPOB said.
