The former Senate President, who also served as Secretary to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has declared his support for the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, to emerge as the next governor of Ebonyi State because of his believe in the “principle of equity”.
Senator Anyim, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, made the declaration, while addressing newsmen after a town hall meeting at his country home, Amagu Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
He said that he believed in zoning and rotation of political positions to all parts of the state hence his support for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who hails from Ebonyi North senatorial zone of Ebonyi state.

Recall that Anyim, one of he pioneer Law students of Imo State University, is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. He was also the Senate President and the former Secretary to the Government of Nigeria.
