‘Niger State government is faced with numerous financial obligations to meet the needs and aspirations of citizenry hence the call for the financial support’
Niger State government is soliciting for support to participate in the 2022 National Sports Festival (NSF) in Asaba, Delta State, which begins on November 28, 2022.
It has therefor appealed to Niger State citizens and corporate organisations for financial support to ensure smooth participation in the event.

Niger State government is faced with numerous financial obligations to meet the needs and aspirations of citizenry hence the call for the financial support from well to do individuals and corporate organisations to, ‘support state government in the funding of sports’.
The state Commissioner for Youth Affairs and Sports Development, Alhaji Yusuf Sulaiman, made the appeal during a meeting with stakeholders in his office.
He disclosed that the state contingent would soon commence camping ahead of the ‘Delta 2022’ sporting fiesta.
Contrary to speculations that Niger State might not participate due to delay in preparations and formal kick-off of camping, the commissioner assured that everything was being worked out to ensure that the state team not only participate but win medals.
