We have gotten the enabling environment to perform better and get back to NPFL

The management of WIkki Tourists Football Club (FC), Bauchi is working hard to return the club to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) after the its relegation to the Nigerian National League (NNL) in the 2022/23 season.
Already, the club is topping Group C at the 2023/24 NNL with 19 points from nine matches with five wins, and four draws.
Mr Musa Gotal, the club’s chairman, made the disclosure to Nigeria News Flight in Bauchi.
He said that the management, technical crew, players and supporters were working with vigour for the club’s progress to the NPFL.
“The first stanza NNL was a blessing and we have moved to the second stanza with blessings.
“We are working hard to maintain our good records of the NNL. We are optimistic that we will return to NPFL,” Gotal said.

He explained that part of the management efforts to maintain the good records was to ensure welfare of players, pay salaries and match bonuses on time.
The chairman also lauded the state governor, Bala Mohammed, for his encouragement and support through adequate funding.
“Our funds are released as at when due. This kind encouragement gives us the confidence that we will soon return to Premier League.
“We are also appreciating the people of Bauchi and the Supporters Club for their prayers and support to the club,” he said.
Gotal assured the governor and the citizens of the club’s returning to Premier League soonest.
“We have gotten the enabling environment to perform better and get back to NPFL,” Gotal said.
