Moroccan international and Fiorentina defensive mid-fielder, Sofyan Amrabat, has completed a move to Premiership side, Manchester United, on Friday September 1, 2023. – beating the 12pm transfer deadline.

His loan deal, which the Manchester Evening News reported cost Manchester United about €10 million, could be made permanent after a season.

With the deal sealed on Friday, Amrabat became the sixth and the last player the club attracted to the Old Trafford this summer.

Earlier, the club bought a striker, Rasmus Hojlund, from Atalanta; Mason Mount (midfielder) from Chelsea; Andre Onana (goalkeeper) from Inter Milan; Altay Bayindir (goalkeeper) from Fenerbahce; and Tottenham Hotspur left-back, Sergio Reguilon, who is on loan.

Though the manager, Erik ten Hag, had said that the club just needed additional three players in the summer transfer – a striker, a midfielder and a goalkeeper – injuries to first choice players forced additional budget on the club.
