European Champions, Manchester City, survived Red Star Belgrade’s 45th munite goal to hit back, winning 3-1 in the first leg of the European Champions League match it hosted on Tuesday September 19, 2023.

The night’s thriller was 1-1 draw between Atletico Madrid and Lazio. The Lazio goalkeeper, Ivan Provedel, saved the day for his club with 95th munite equalizer.

With just seconds remaining, Provedel went up for a late corner and glanced a fine header into the net from Luis Alberto’s cross.

It prompted wild celebrations from the Lazio players, who raced to hug their unlikely goalscoring hero.
