Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has assured that the lingering crisis within the party will be resolved, describing it as a family matter.

He also assured that the party would soon overcome it and come out stronger.

Atiku was accompanied by three serving PDP governors, including his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

He said, “What is happening is a family quarrel and we believe that we will resolve it before the general elections and you will see a very, very united and strong PDP that will face the elections”.

On the attack on his convoy in Maiduguri, Borno State, f Atiku said, “It was a very unfortunate scenario despite signing the peace accord by all the candidates of all the political parties, some groups of political leaders still ignore the peace accord”.

The PDP presidential hopeful said that his visit to the former President Babangida was to pay respect to him for his services to Nigeria.
